To Check Out and Finalize your order, you need to select a Method of Payment
and a Method of Shipping.
It's important to remember that if you are *only* 'ordering' freebies you need
to select 'check/money order' as your payment preference.
Before checking out, please read through the instructions below, to make your
selections easier.
WHAT IS THE ADDRESS BOOK?
The Address Book is used to supply alternative delivery addresses for your order.
These addresses are maintained for you in your own private Address Book for
future use.
DOWNLOADABLE FREEBIE INSTRUCTIONS:
Downloadable freebies are available for downloading at the end of the checkout
process IF you have remembered to select 'check/money order' as your payment
preference. Although you are not actually purchasing anything the cart will
treat you as a 'paying customer' and so you will still receive a confirmation
email of your order within 24 hours. This email will also inform you that your
order will not ship until payment is made- don't panic! Look at the total: $0.00
obviously you don't need to send payment to get your freebies :o)
If you've not downloaded a freebie here before- this image will help you find
what to look for at the end of the checkout process, just click on it and the
full size image will pop open in a new window for you. When you've gotten a
good look, just close that window :o)
While we have tried to make the Download process as easy as possible, we realise
that some people may experience difficulties due to bad connections, browser
problems, etc.
If you have any problems with the Download process, please contact us. Just
send a reply back to your Order Confirmation letter and let us know the problem
you may be experiencing so that it can be corrected as quickly as possible.
CHART FORMATS EXPLAINED:
When ordering you will see that there are 5 choices for how to receive your chart:
1. Standard US Mail- this is a physical, printed standard (the size listed on the product info page) chart sent to you by USPS 1st class mail.
2. Standard PDF via email- this is an electronic chart which you receive as an Adobe pdf file email attachment which you then print off at home. 3. Standard PCS Viewer via email- this is an electronic chart which you receive as a PCStitch Viewer file email attachment which you then print off at home. I highly recommend the PCStitch Viewer option simply because of the wonderful flexibility it allows in printing. You can select how big your symbols will be, whether you will use black and white or color symbols and so on. Very flexible :o)
4. GBC via email- GBC stands for Great Big Chart (what many stitchers refer to as a 'BAP' project) and the 'Great Big' does not actually refer to the chart itself (although they do, of necessity, tend to be many, many pages) but rather the size of the finished project. These charts will tend to be poster-sized and I strongly suggest emailing and requesting a stitch count before ordering one of these charts. When shipped via email they ship as a PCS Viewer file- they are simply to big to do as a single pdf file and have to be printed into several and tend to fill most email inbox's so more mail cannot be received so... they ship as PCS Viewer files.
5. GBC US Mail- this is a physical, printed GBC chart sent to you by USPS 1st class mail.
PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
We currently offer several options for payments: Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard,
Discover, American Express), Personal Check, Money Order, Cashiers Check, PayPal.
CREDIT CARD:
Credit card payments are processed by a secure third party. Your
information is *NOT* kept in our records unless we are requested to 'remember'
it by you. If you do not ask us to 'remember' your information then it is destroyed
when the order is shipped and is not available to us for future orders (you
will have to put your info in again). If you do ask us to 'remember' it then
the information is maintained offline on paper for your security. We understand
that this can be an inconvenience and we apologize however, for your safety
and security, we must continue to maintain this policy. When you pay for your
order via credit card it will appear on your monthly statement as 'quin@oddsandinsonline.com'-
this is a valid email address which will not only help you identify the merchant
but will also allow you to get in touch with us should you have any questions,
problems, suggestions or comments.
PERSONAL CHECKS, MONEY ORDERS AND CASHIERS CHECKS:
While O&I has customers around the globe we must insist that all
payment be made in US funds only. Additionally, we have had minimal problems
with 'bad' or 'bounced' checks and so we continue to accept them but want you
to understand that we may hold your order until the check clears at our discretion.
However, we reserve the right to change this policy at any time.
PAYPAL:
PayPal offers a safe and secure method of payment and can utilize
your bank account or credit cards for faster processing.
When completing your order, if you do not have a PayPal account and would
like to use that method, select the PayPal option and you will be able to
make a payment without opening an account.
PayPal is quickly becoming a standard feature on many Online Stores and
helps to protect your private data about your bank account and credit cards.
Instead of giving away this information to everywhere you wish to make an
Online Purchase, you only use your PayPal Account and keep your data private.
Please note that orders being paid for by e-checks via PayPal will not ship
until the e-check has cleared (generally 3 days).
SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS:
In order to keep prices down we ship snail mail orders via USPS First Class Mail.
In well over 5 years, shipping pretty much daily we have had exactly 3 orders
not arrive at their destination. If your order has not arrived within 2 weeks
let us know and it will be immediately reshipped. If you have a special request
for shipping (if you would like it to be shipped a different way such as FedEx
or UPS etc) just let us know and we will be happy to accomodate you. Please understand
however that the difference in shipping price will be added to your order total.
In addition, there is an email shipping option.
NOTE: If your order contains ONLY PDF or PCS files, please select the Email
Shipping Option so you do not receive any shipping charges. Should you make
a mistake, and select USPS for an order containing ONLY PDF or PCS files, the
shipping fees will be removed from your order. Should you make a mistake and
select Email Shipping for an order that does not contain PDF or PCS files USPS
shipping fees will be added to your order.
